VOA Alaska's Family Support Coordinator is friendly face and peer who helps families navigate the unabridged handling process and creates opportunities to connect the youth's support network.
Support begins with a Family unit Assessment to identify any needs of the family unit to ensure the necessary resources and wrap around services are provided.
Weekly Family Support & Engagement Group
When a family reaches out to VOA Alaska, i of the first things we want them to know is that they are not lone. To explore the family dynamics of recovery and healing in a safe and supportive environment, VOA Alaska holds a weekly family support group. This is open to ALL families, including those who are non currently enrolled with VOA Alaska services.
The Family Support & Date Grouping meets every Wednesday evening from 5:thirty pm to 6:30pm and provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with peers, share experiences, and learn more about support and resources available to them.
