Sharp ARM207 Won't feed from cassette 1 only

I've just full serviced this machine, I washed (cleaned) all motor and feed gears and cleaned all solenoids and clean+lubed clutches but the (/)&&"#$%$ machine won't feed from cassette 1 (LTR), it does copy correctly from cassette 2 (LGL) and bypass, ADF works fine, I swapped the cassette 1 feed solenoid for another (working) one at no avail, I also swapped Main board with another working machine and *nada* (nothing happened), I even connected another solenoid from outside (in my hand) and doesn't energize when is supposed to, (I didn't bring my multimeter along).

    Any ideas on this ?
    thanks as always.

I know this sounds weird, but have you tried new Rollers? Also, what is the jam code? Does it sense paper? Does the tray lift the paper all the way?

Does the pick up roller turn? Does it engage?

Yes, the feed tires are good, and the paper cassete lifts up ok. The copier feeds correctly if I help (by hand) the solenoid to free the feed clutch turn when it has to,
it does sense paper ok and it does sense the cassette is in, (I already checked that too),
the problem is that there is no voltage coming to the solenoid, it doesn't move at all.

Without a meter, you'll have a hard time isolating the trouble (loss of return or signal levels). You are left with 'shot gunning' parts as your original post suggest.

long shot here...it may be a photo sensor in tray 1 PF assy...maybe switch all the sensors from one tray PF to the other PF...this model ALWAYS had tray 1 problems...

Here are two line entries that might help:

Misfeeds from tray #1, no paper is found on AR-200. The pickup clutch binds & does not let the pawl release. Clean and re-grease the tray #1 pickup clutch.

Misfeeds from tray #1, no paper is found on AR-201. Unsuitable cardstock is loaded in tray #1, and cannot feed out. Load suitable paper stock.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If I remember correctly there was updated paper tabs the paper trays because the paper used to hang on the metal tabs, especially from tray 1. I see you cleaned the clutches... that factory grease caused a ton of issues with jamming and not allowing the spring to return to position, I used WD-40 instead with great results, instead. I forget the part #'s for the paper tray tabs. Also, if I remember correctly, Sharp came out with updated rollers for the AR-207 different shape....But, your issue is tray 1 solenoid not firing.. seems you done all the obvious, I would test and see if your getting proper voltage to it. If you have the wiring diagram, handy I would trace it back to where it gets its voltage from, possibly a power supply issue?

Today I'm back to this oldie,
I'll let you know what develops.

Customer very unhappy with this box, seems previous techs had issues with it too,

(Customer requested a new machine estimate though).

BW mfps, recommend 503 family. They are really solid mfps.

Personally I would not use WD40, since it is not a lubricant. IBM23 or Mobilgrease28 work nicely.

This is not a machine that deserves a lot attention. They were jammomatics right from the beginning. I would concentrate on making that machine go away. =^..^=
